ARMAGEDDON IS NOT AN EVENT! “ARMAGEDDON” is a LOCATION!
Revelation 16:16“16And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”
LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!Movie portrayals of Armageddon have little to do with the real place and event. “Armageddon” is a long, broad, valley in Israel (the Valley of Megiddo). Many of us have seen beautiful photos of this place. It is a beautiful, grassy valley eastward from Mount Carmel. There is room for literally millions of people standing shoulder to shoulder in this place.
This is WHERE the great prophetic battle between Christ (and His Saints) and Satan (and his followers) will take place. It is emphatically NOT a place where the world comes to an abrupt end and ALL mankind is obliterated. Remember This, You heard it HERE, HOLLYWOOD KNOWS NOTHING! Repeat after me – HOLLYWOOD KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT ARMAGEDDON.
The following is the Biblical scenario:
The nations of the earth will gather together at the end of the 42 months prophesied in the Bible. That 42 months will end with the gathering of the remainder of earth’s military forces at the Valley of Megiddo, in Israel. With the death of the TWO WITNESSES who have resisted antichrist and his cohorts, these armies are arrayed for the final conflict of the ages. The winner takes all! But there is yet a problem.
A HUGE PROBLEM!
Revelation 19:11-21
“11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies,which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”
The outcome is settled. The mortality of earth’s armies is 100%. Christ’s losses ZERO! What about Satan?Revelation 20:2-3“2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”
Satan is bound for 1000 years, not to deceive the earth again till, the thousand years has expired. This is the millennial reign of Jesus.
Revelation 20-6“6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
