In the examination and scrutiny of the Christian faith, we should bring EVERY tradition----celebration----practice----or formality under the microscopic view of the New Tewstament. Now matter WHAT IT IS----or how important it has become to ourselves, friends, or family members---------If the New Testament does not support it-----IT MUST GO !
